Over priced for a thistle but what can you do on grand national weekend! Very odd shaped room and it looked shabby.

    Good

We did not arrive untill 1.00am in the morning as we had flowen into Liverpool from Tenneriffe and all we wanted was to get some sleep however all we heard was fire doors and residents doors constantly banging. It was a waste of time for the purpose of our stay. Regards Martin Muirhead Chef Manager Elder Health Care

Nice room overlooking the Mersey and the Liver Building. Great location, very friendly staff. Reasonably priced, but didn't pay the £12.50 for breakfast. Would definately stay there again and recommend to others.

We were woken up by the church bells opposite which seems to ring for ages. No complaints about the hotel though.

    Superb

The room was very comfortable and clean.

Although the reservation says that you do not need to book in advance a space in the private car park, we were very concerned to arrive and overhear from a fellow quest that the hotel car park was full. We did not know the city and would not have known where else to park and at what cost. As it happens, when we drove around to the car park to check there was in fact, luckily, one space left so in the end everything was ok. Had we arrived five minutes later though and the car park had been full I would have been quite upset about it. I assume there must be a good reason why you don't allow pre-booking for this facility? But it would have helped as even if the hotel car park had been fully booked at least we would have known about it before we travelled and could have researched and made alternative arrangements.

    Breakfast choice was excellent

Room was very small and just across from the church bell tower - not good for a Sunday lie-in!! Only one tea bag provided so had to ask for more!

    Good location.

The room was awful. It was very small and the bedding had questionable stains. We ordered room service and the food was atrocious. The cost was very expensive for the size of the room.

    Fabulous

Location was excellent. Breakfast was well cooked. Dinner again well cooked and served by attentive staff. All staff helpful and friendly, including manager who took us to the lift when we first arrived and obviously looked a bit disorientated.

Weekend breakfast very busy, though there are notices which advise you to eat before 9am at weekends to beat the rush. Our booking specified a view over the river. Our room didn't. King size bed too large for room. I had a 3" gap between the bed and the wall to squeeze through. As there were only 2 of us using the bed, a normal double would have been fine. Not perticularly good value for money.
